Many people claim that truth is relative to the individual. By this, they mean that what is true for one individual is not true for another. This contradicts scripture which indicates that a single truth does exist and calls us to seek it.

We as humans tend to be forgetful people. The people of God have a tendency to forget God. God told the nation of Israel not to forget him in Deuteronomy 8:18-19 and Deuteronomy 9:7 . However, Judges 3:7 records that Israel forgot him in favor of other gods.

Luke 19:1-10 describes a small man named Zacchaeus. Though small in stature, Zacchaeus was the chief tax collector and was quite wealthy. Zacchaeus was hated by his countrymen because tax collectors typically collected more than they were legally required to collect and kept the extra for themselves.

Jesus didn't hate Zacchaeus. Instead, Jesus goes to Zacchaeus' house and forgives his sins.
