Luke 19:1-10 describes a small man named Zacchaeus. Though small in stature, Zacchaeus was the chief tax collector and was quite wealthy. Zacchaeus was hated by his countrymen because tax collectors typically collected more than they were legally required to collect and kept the extra for themselves. Jesus didn't hate Zacchaeus.
